As busy women we never have the time to read a book. We purchase a book read the first chapters and put the book down when we get too busy and never look at it again. Sugah bae you are not alone in this fight against books. Most Americans read around one to two books a year. With the exception of ladies reading POTUS Obama or “Girl Go Wash Your Face,” most people are not running to their local book store. Here are a couple of tips to read books even if you are not a “reader.”

You can pick what ever book you want it is your right as a reader. You can read something that is naughty, funny, or what ever you fancy. It’s your right

You Can Read Anytime Anywhere

For some coo-coo cachoo reason we all have this image of an elegant woman reading, quietly, and calmly. No one has to do that it’s your right as a reader to do whatever you please. You can read in your office, you can read whenever or however you feel. What works for one person doesn’t work for the other. My boyfriend can read while the TV is on with people talking in the bathroom, because he grew up with a large family in the house. I have to read in a quiet place. Do whatcha feel, girl.

Pick Several books

If you want to Finish the book from the beginning to the end good for you, but you don’t have to. Pick Several books at a time can help. Having a large new library and help you pick and choose which books you want. You can put a book down and read another, you can not read a book for 6 months and pick it up again.

Make the Library Your Friend

Ah, if we all pay taxes, why don’t we use our local library. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve spoken to a friend and they couldn’t tell you the last time they went to the library. The library is Free99! Picking several books can be expensive, so you can use the library to supplement your book purchases. For their entire 2017 year I didn’t pay for a single book. It was because I used the Philadelphia Free Library.

The cool thing about libraries is that you can upload books on your kindle now. Some of y’all are throwing shade on the library, but without the library we wouldn’t have a bibliographic system to organize all these books.

Kindle Unlimited Your Friend

If you just don’t have the time, use one of those unlimited options. It’s around 10 bucks a month. The unlimited services might not have every book, but the library can supplement the need to read “Girl Go Wash Your Face.”

Audible is great, but try to Level Up With Reading the book too

Finishing a book can be a challenge, but using audiobook and reading a book is on a whole other level. Leveling up can create an out of body holistic reading experience. For example, in 2014 I went on a hard I have to learn math and science kick and I read Physics of the Future. Whoo Baby was that a challenge. I added the audiobook and was able to finish it Uber fast.

Read Different Genres

If you’re on a I have to change my life kick and have to read every book in that category, Huzzah to you, but most of us aren’t in that category. Most of us just want to read for “self-help” reasons. Read another genre for Pete sakes. You like 50 shades, read erotic books. You like obscure travel books, do that too! You can learn just as much from a science fiction books as you can from “Girl Go Wash Your Face.”

Food for thought

If you buy all those books, just make sure you track how much you spend on books… Oh and all my friends are reading “Girl Wash Your Face”
