01 / ProblemFragmented financial literacy

Financial literacy content was transactional — a tip here, a checklist there — and it failed to address the psychological and systemic barriers that prevent people, especially in underserved communities, from building lasting financial infrastructure. Most financial education treated money as a math problem. It isn't. It's a trust problem, a history problem, and an access problem.

02 / FrameworkFinancial education as systems-building

I repositioned financial education as a systems-building discipline rather than a content category. That meant developing an editorial framework rooted in financial psychology, behavioral economics, and modular content architecture — content designed to be revisited, built on, and connected across formats, not consumed once and forgotten.

"Most financial advice fails for the same reason most content fails — it talks at people instead of meeting them where their actual barriers are."

03 / ExecutionA multi-channel content ecosystem

I built a content engineering platform anchored by the book itself — Our Money Stories (2020) — and extended it into a Substack publication, a financial education curriculum, and a digital resource library. Each piece feeds the others: the book establishes the framework, the newsletter sustains the relationship, and the curriculum converts trust into action.
