The Thought Card: Why You Need A Travel Fund

Traveling is everything to me, but I forget to schedule for it, budget it, and think about it. Two years pass by and I just realized that my last trip was in 2019. I need to get it together. This podcast gives you the rationale behind setting up a separate travel fund and how to allocate money there.

Tim Ferriss Show: 4 Hour Work Week Case Studies

Most entrepreneurs have read the 4-Hour Work Week. It’s a great book. But I have a confession to make I read the book in 2015 and I didn’t believe that his strategy would apply to me because I am a black woman. To be a female fan of Tim Ferriss is a rare. Only twenty percent of his listeners and book owners are women. I victimized myself for a couple of years only to realize that I have the power to do something different about my life.

This podcast episode talks about an entrepreneur that takes the 4 Hour Work Week idea and fully applies it to their real life. The podcast made me realize the two things that was missing in my life were liberation and automating all my weaknesses. Oh lawd. Back to the Drawing Board

Financial Advisor: Using Social Media and Blogging to Drive Business

When I asked the Twitter world, who would be a good stock blogger to follow, Micheal Kitces told me Joshua Brown. When I read his blog the Reformed Broker my mind exploded. It made sense to me why people continue to blog (first blog post Hyperlink). When I asked the world is there a female that is equivalent to Joshua? And of course, it’s Blair duQuesnay, CFA®, CFP® i, the savvy Louisianan who works with Downtown Josh Brown.

After reading hours of blog content, I wanted to listen to Josh on a podcast, and low and behold Josh was on Michael Kitces’ podcast. Full Circle

It was the first podcast about being a financial advisor that I actually lol’d. I spat milk out of my nose because I was dying of laughter. As a future Financial Planner, as a career changer, I was very impressed by the passion and the companies business process.

2050 Trailblazers: How to Be Your Bold Authentic Self in the Financial World

Vice Chair of Starbucks Melody Hobson asked the world why any Colin Kaepernick’s in Finance are there (i. The simple answer is that there are not enough people of color in finance, but the more complex answer is that it’s difficult to enter the finance world and be yourself especially if you are a person of color.

If you are ready to cry and make a move into finance as a person of color this is the BEST  podcast. It was honest and real and Rianka and Angela Moore both have the freedom to talk about their transitions in the finance work force.

Money and Flow Podcast: Travel in Style with Chloe Johnston

Y’all know I had to plug a Money and Flow podcast.  Chloe is quick and is often referred to as the savvy spender. I re-listened to the podcast, because she in unapologetically daring. Chloe decided to start a company in two locations and not knowing the language of another country
